Contacting Us

Appointments and Office Visits:

Patients of Chester County OB/GYN Associates are seen by appointment only. All appointments can be made by calling our central scheduling office at 610-692-3434. Our schedulers will work with you to find the best time and most convenient location for your appointment.

Our four offices are open weekdays with evening hours available at all sites.
If you must cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call the office as soon as possible so we may offer that appointment to another patient.You may leave a message after hours on our office voice mail 610-692-3434.
Before your first visit with us, we will send you forms to complete about your medical history. Please bring, or arrange to have sent, any records from other physicians that are pertinent.

Sick Visits:
Appointment time is kept available each day to see patients who require immediate care or who are injured. If you are ill or feel you need to be seen the same day by one of our providers, call us as early in the day as possible.

Annual visits:
Please try and schedule annual visits as far in advance as possible, keeping in mind that your insurance plan may require that 365 days elapse between annual exams.

Telephone Calls:
Please place all non-emergency calls to our office between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays.

Reaching a Nurse:
Our nurses are scheduled to return calls between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. weekdays. We are not permited to leave messages on answering machines due to Federal Privacy Regulations.

Our staff of nurses will make every effort to respond to your question within 24 hours.
We respond to calls in the order of perceived urgency, so please be sure to communicate clearly in your message how urgent you believe your call to be. In life threatening situations, please summon emergency help before you attempt to communicate with our office.
All other calls will be returned as quickly as possible.

Please provide the following information when leaving a message: Your first and last name, your date of birth and your daytime phone number including times when you can be reached.

Prescriptions:
We refill prescriptions only during office hours, as we need to consult with your physician and and evaluate your medical record to check on dosages and medical history. Please plan ahead so you do not run out of important prescriptions. Always have the number of your pharmacy available when you call.

After Hours:
We have physicians on call to handle emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We ask that calls that are not emergencies be saved for regular office hours when we are fully staffed. This enables the on-call physician to devote her/his attention to patients in the hospital and to emergency situations.

To reach a physician when the office is closed, please contact our answering service by calling 610-692-3434 and by selecting the prompt for "Emergencies". Our answering service will contact us and will provide a description of your medical concern to the physician on call.

Emergencies:
In case of an Emergency, dial 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency department. If there is a critical or life-threatening situation, your local paramedics wil provide medical support and transport to the nearest hospital emergency department. The emergency department staff will consult with our physicians as needed.
